Value for Money

RFPM understands the desire of all owners for strong value for money, particularly in a weak property market. Our independence and transparency, as well as specific processes we have adopted in how we do our business, ensure value for money for owners and residents.

All maintenance work in blocks we manage (e.g. on lifts, gates, pumps and in relation to window cleaning, parking etc.) is subcontracted out by RFPM to separate companies. Unlike some other property management companies, we are fully independent of all service providers. We always welcome and consider proposals from alternative service providers for all aspects of our operations (subject to quality standards being fully maintained).

This may sound like a technical matter but it is important for owners to know that agents who are tied to particular service providers have their hands tied as regards ‘market testing’ of prices. This is inevitably reflected in higher charges and/or poorer services for owners and residents.

As well as being independent of our contractors, RFPM has a policy of using multiple contractors in all maintenance areas. We never become dependent on one contractor or on the way that they work. This model has been proven to us time and time again in driving down costs for owners and residents.

As a leading property management company, our volume of business allows us to obtain discounts from suppliers and contractors that can, in turn, be passed on to our customers.

Unlike some other agents, RFPM takes a zero mark-up in relation to prices for replacement keys, car park zappers, key fobs and so forth.

The above points, together with a rigorous annual process of going through the budget for each development to review both quality obtained and prices charged, are the means by which RFPM delivers very strong value for money for owners and residents.
